At first I thought the block activity was interesting, but it got really annoying towards the end when everyone kept purposely pushing each other off. I'm just glad we were able to finally get through it.
As for the Johnny Whoops activity, I really liked that one. Partially because I knew how to do it, but it was fun to see everyone trying figure it out. However, as with the blocks, there were at least five or six kids who's attitudes I didn't appreciate and made the whole thing less fun. We're all supposed to give 100% in this class, and I feel like some people think they're better than the things we're doing.

And that is my thought on that.

I thought both of the activities were fun especially the block one. The Johnny one was kinda confusing at first, but then people started to get it so yeah it was fun.

In the counting activity, I was always standing at the edge of the block. I was supporting some of my friends so they won't fall. The activiy was a little bit uncomfortable becuase we were so close together and I barely had a space to breathe. But it was fun.
I enjoyed the Johnny Whoops activiy also. But I was embarassed when the whole class was looking at me and I couldn't do it right.

i thought the block activity was odd, but its good for team work. Yeah we had trouble at first but then someone came up with a plan and we got it.
Then after that when we did Johnny Whoops! that was fun and a little tricky. I liked it though. I think we should do that more because its fun

Counting 1-36 activity was very awkward and really hard to do at first. We had to kind of reach out of our comfert zones and deal with holding onto someone or using each other as a support system.
As for the Johnny woops thing it was fun and kind of frustrating, but I bet the people that got it after awhile felt pretty accomplished.

counting 1-36 was hard at first. But when we finally used each other for support, we actually started acting like a group and accomplished the activity.
Johnny was fun to watch. It seemed kind of frustating but the ones who got it seemed kind of proud.

the counting game thing was pretty intense and it made it harder when people would mess around and stuff, but it was still fun.

My role in the johnny whoops activity was basically just paying attention to what everyone else is doing and then doing it myself then i was done and waited for everyone else to finish.

for the counting 1-36 activity, i felt that there where a lot of ideas that where just being pushed off to the side! i have actually done this activity with like 50 people so it can actually get a lot harder. i had an idea that was pushed away only because the guys didnt want to hold hands but it didnt really fase me. for the johnny whoops activity i felt that the people that didnt get were just needing to pay closer attention. yeah at first i didnt get, in fact the second time you did it with the three people i got it, but i didnt see it the first time done! i felt that it was just needing or more people to pay attention to the others. like today, friday, almost everyone got it the first time! i feel that that was because of everyone was watching it be done multiple times right in front of them! over all i feel that for the day people in the class just need to pay closer attention to everyone else!

The block activity worked out well in the beginning, but as it neared the end, and we weren't able to get everyone on, and people were falling off or pushing, it just got to be stupid and frustrating. We did a much better job once we all actually listened to everyone's ideas.
During the Johnny Whoops activity, I basically just waited for my turn, and was respectful to others as well.
It's just so annoying when people have bad attitudes and don't want to be there. It doesn't help to get anything done if you're just going to complain or be lazy about it, ya know?

the block activity was hard i have to say!!!it was hot and nasty....IT SMELLED!!! but it was fun!!!
the guys had a harder time though...but we did it.

the johnny one was kinda lame i have to say idk i didnt like it....

but i'm glad our class is actually opening up more and thats great!!!=)

I liked the block one because we get to be with people and work together as a group. But the Johnny one was diffcult because there were some people that had trouble.

For the block activity , it was slightly annoying when people were either trying to sabotage each other or were so worried about themselves that they couldn't see that what they were doing wasn't helping the group as a whole. I mean a lot of us seemed to understand it, and were working to hold each other up instead push each other off, but some people... as for Johnny Whoops though, it was fun--although it did get slightly much with so many people. Once people started getting it, it just got a bit redundant, but it was still a good time (especially initially when everyone was trying to figure out what to do)

The counting to 36 was fun at first, but when people were just falling on purpose I got really angry and annoyed. But when we finished, it was really cool. The Johnny Whoops one was really fun when you figured out the 'secret'.

The 1-36 count thing was.....horribly
grotesque. I'm a bit claustrophobic, too so I felt quite paranoid. The johnny whoops thing was an adorable activity, though. Fun.

The counting 1-36 was hard at first but once we came up with a plan to organize ourselves on the blocks, we succeeded.
I liked the Johnny Whoops thing. At first I didn't understand, but then I caught on. I thought it was good practice to get out in front of people.

the counting was fun. It took us a while to figure out how to do it, but it was interesting. Johnny Whoops was great too. Even though I've done it before, its always fun to try and figure out what the trick is this time.

I thought the block activity was fun, but it took forever for everyone to get on. The Johnny Whoops activity was alright, but it was really confusing.

For the counting 1-36 activity, I found it strange how the first time we all tried to get onto the blocks we made it fine, but then when we realized we had trouble with the counting we got off to figure it out, and then we couldn't get back on as easily. I thought it was a fun activity that literally and figuratively required us to get close!
For Johnny Whoops, I knew how to do it because I've done it before in a different class. However when I did it before, it took most of the people (including me) forever to figure it out. I was surprised at how fast everyone knew how to do it this time.

I had a very difficult time with the blocks activity. I am claustrophobic and being up there with everyone squished together. I was so annoyed when people purposefully pushed others off and jumped off just to be funny or whatever. It was a good feeling to get through it, though. I felt very accomplished that I didn't totally freak out or have any serious problems while up there.
As for the Johnny Whoops activity, I liked it. I had been taught that activity before in a different way and it was fun to figure out exactly how to get it right. It was a little frustrating when we had to keep stopping to get people to cooperate or to pay attention to the activity. Other than that I had fun!

I didn't really like the block activity because it was really hard for all of us to get it. As for johnny woop, I liked that activity because I knew how to do it and I remember the first time I had heard about it and it was funny because I was the same way as the other kids in class who couldn't figure it out.

um well the block activity was weird because everyone kept yelling at me to go stand at different places on the block and also nobody knows how to work as a team ... like when someone talks no one is listening ... but it was cool ... it just shows that not everyone was commited to the activity ... umm well the johnny whoops game thing was weird cause i have never done it before so like i didnt catch on at first so it took me a couple of tries but then i finally got it and it was fun ... it also took a lot of concentration ... and you had to look for and look at others mistakes ... :) overall fun

The block activity started off fun, trying to get everyone on the mats. It wasn't as awkward as i thoughtit would be, being really close to people i didn't know. It started to get annoying though because a lot of people were trying really hard and were standing close together on the mat, while others waited on the ground or just sat on the mats, which caused the people trying to be stuck on the mats for longer.

At first the Johnny Whoops activity seemed hard, and i was frustrated that i couldn't figure it out, but when i did, it was really fun to watch others try to figure it out.

I thought the block one was really good, at least for the people i was working with. At the beginning everyone was kinda just standing by themselves, and we kept falling off, but then near the middle people started offering to hold people on, even if they weren't friends, and i thought that was really cool.
The johnny one was entertaining, but less teamwork inducing.

the block activity was actually fun but the got kinda out of hand when people were pushing other people off.

the ohnny whoops was kind of hard at the begining because you had to pay real close attention to what H. did to get it right

The block activity was fun but it took a long time for everybody to get on. Some people were taking forever to get up on the block.I was always in the middle and it hard because everybody was so close together.
I liked the Johnny Whoops activity but you had to pay attention to what everybody was doing.

The block activity was quite fun to tell you the truth. I was just getting really irritated because people were complaining. "i'm claustraphobic, its getting hot, i hate this activity, you smell..." and they were pushing people off. but as starry night sky said, we got through it.

the Johnny Whoops thing was pretty hilarious. i got it and i'm like "you can do it guys!!!! get it together. and stop chatting with your friends. if you concentrate you'll get the cough and leg cross." i think we can do better on the attitude thing. it hurt seeing my classmates being sent out to the hall. =[

I thought the block activity was interesting. It was something different and it definetely helped us be with each other. In the counting activity, my role was to get onto the blocks while also helping people get on and holding them on so they wouldn't fall.
In the Johnny Whoops activity, I knew how to do it so i caught on pretty quickly... it was interesting to see people getting frustrated when they couldnt do it. My role was to watch people do the Johnny whoops thing and also do it correctly to help people get it.

my role in the counting activity was to just try and stay on the block and try to help other people get on, and to remember my number.

The johnny thing was fun and it showed that you had to pay attention to the small things.

at first I thought that the activity was really simple, just fit everyone on the mats. It turned out to be a little bit harder than that though. With people pushing and shoving and everone off balance it was challening. On the end people came together and we get through the activity by helping one another and that the greatest feeling if accomplishment .

Anonymous said...

I thought the activity was really challenging because you had to have everyone on, not to mention only one person could talk, but after we figured out to number first it was easier. Fierce

I thought 1-36 was a fun activity but pretty annoying because ppl would try to push ppl off on purpose and after a while ppl felt really claustrofobic and annoyed.
I thought Johnny whoops was a boring activity because i remember doing that when i was in 5th grade and didnt think it was interesting, simon says is better.

Zucchini :) said...

well i don't really appreciate it when other people are saying that they think people are acting like they are better then the activity because i feel like everyone is trying and when they see other people not try it makes they think they can joke around about it and i think that's what some people were doing. i thought our class was supposed to try and bond with eachother more and try to get to know everyone else and be comfortable around eachother. i feel like some of us are trying to make it a more fun and goofier enviroment as we try and accomplish our task for the day and i don't think that's going to happen if people are saying comments about people in the class because that's just going to upset them and make them feel like no one wants them to be doing the activity because people dont think they try.

soo yeahh thats what i think about someone's comment i just read. and i respect what that person said im just trying to say what i feel about that and what a couple of us thought about it.

This is Misa from first period...
I was just wondering...why does sixth period get the nifty polkadotted background!? First period has a boring background.

I think we should have an awsome abstract background.
